The Egg

Ever eaten a preserved egg before? I'm not referring to salted egg nor the "pei tan" they put in porridge. I'm reffering to preserved herbal tea egg, aka "cha yip tan".

The egg was packed tightly, at first when I saw I thought it was some preserved prunes or what.. Until my bro ate, only I came to know it's preserved egg! Well done China for preserving all kinds of food.
Look at the wrinkled egg due to the tight packaging.

Taste absoulutely like normal chinese herb tea alright. Just that it's a bit more chewy..

Look at the expiry date! September 2012! This egg can last a year!
Seriously, am I the one being so out of date? I seriously have not eaten a preserved herbal tea egg before.

Anyway, today I'm ending my post with my dear ancestor aka SyeYen's picture :)
The day she went for interview, congrats on getting the job! :)
