Most of us, when we were young, we see the above image in some of our text books, right? Some of us had the fancy idea thinking how cool it is to be like so, "playing" with chemicals. And hence, the desire of wanting to be a scientist.
When we were in high school, those of us who took science stream, we went into labs and did some tests. "Cheh, what kind of chemicals are these? I want real stuff! Bring me the real thing! Don't give me simple chemicals, I'm good enough to handle better ones." Yeaaap.
Guess what? Seriously, the life in a lab is as boring as the image looks. You really get to do what the image is doing, in a zillion number of times, that is. Gosh. I'm really thankful that at college in a week, not everyday is a lab session. Bored die me. Few months ago, I, who barely know how to use the spectophotometer and pH metre, am now using it everyday. I could even calibrate them now :/ And talk about handling concentrated acids, they are, 100% seriously concentrated. I now know how to be thankful to rubber gloves which protects my hands from being corroded. I shall reconsider about working in the lab in the future to come.
Did you know?
The Carol you know...
At college lab is as careful as she could, but at work she's as clumsy as a donkey?
At college lab, did not break a single glassware but at work she broke a pipette?
At college lab, is so worrisome about the results obtained but at work accept as it is?
At college lab, partial of her practical and theory is good, but at work her practical slows?
Talk about weaknesses, I have plenty :(
For once, my mind did not put "knowing results" priority.
At work, "Oh, it's out. I'll still have to wait til I reached home"
Driving home, still did not think about results.
Reached home, had dinner, still didn't think about results at all.
Heading to bath, "Oh yah, results out d horrr"
Currently, I'm still blogging, going to check after I finish this.
So that mood to blog won't be ruined :)
