The Egg

Tough on the outside (seemingly), out of expectations on the inside.

That's why, when you want to crack an egg open in order to get the egg white and yolk, you have to crack it properly. Tap it a few times on the edge of the bowl, and break it open half.

If you tap too hard, your egg's gone.

If you're rough on it, all you get is the mixture of egg white and yolk together with pieces of egg shells.

You drop it, you break it.

You unknowingly or accidentally squashed on it, you smashed it.

In short, solid but fragile.
Not so tough after all
