A Step Out of the Shell Drowned Him

An artist holds his pencil,
in position to sketch.

Ideas being input from everywhere,
he got his frame.

The frame is there,
very clear of what it is.

He places his pencils down,
replacing it with a paint brush.

Stroke by stroke,
dab by dab,
he gives color and tone,
not a single detailed on his mind left out.

This is the piece,
he felt worth hoping,
for once he deserves praises.

Upon completion,
just one more step of touch up,
his masterpiece will be done.

Who expected,
someone would accidentally pushed over his cup of water.

Smudge, despair.

It hurts to see his peers getting what he actually deserves.
He doubts that he even deserves it.
