Lion to Kitten?

The lion is often referred as fast, bold, courages, strong and a great leader. Or maybe, people name them as king of the jungle. Ever thought of why lions have such characters? I assume that they are given the psychological mindset that they are to be like that. And slowly, its character is moulded since young until being an adult. Since young they've been taught how to prey, strategies and lead their clan.

Let's twist it a little. What if, what if you want to change the character of the lion to become soft, gentle, humble and a follower. And I don't mean since young, I mean changing the character of an adult lion. What would happen to that lion? How will others look at him? From my point of view :
  • the lion will go through a disaster mass of change
  • clan will not listen to what he says/make a fool out of him
  • will no longer be a leader
  • others not believing that a lion could actually be tamed/change of character
  • how is the lion going to get food??
Then again, that's the disadvantage of change in character of the lion. The benefit? Of course, being able to other species of animals. Humble in the eyes of others.
